Tell Her About It

Over the last few days, I was reminded about my philosophy of "surprises and reminders". You see, after Noah came along, the unromantic me has started taking my beloved for granted (again!) I assumed that with 4 kids, (it was agreed..) that we had no time for ourselves (and correspondingly for each other). So our time was already equally divided into 25%, taken up respectively by Hi 4.

I "re-learnt" that I should never assume that my beloved doesnt need TLC. I did managed to soothe her nerves (she's actually not difficult to please, and I really should not take it for granted..), and we managed to enjoy our Good Friday, and even caught up for half an hour drinking sugarcane.

Reminds me of Billy Joel's "Tell Her About It"..and this entry is to remind me to always remember...:)

Tell her about it, Tell her everything you feel
Give her every reason to accept That you're for real
Tell her about it, Tell her all your crazy dreams
Let her know you need her, Let her know how much she means

Listen boy It's not automatically a certain guarantee
To insure yourself You've got to provide communication constantly
When you love someone You're always insecure
And there's only one good way To reassure

Tell her about it, Let her know how much you care
When she can't be with you, Tell her you wish you were there
Tell her about it Every day before you leave
Pay her some attention,
Give her something to believe......
