Contentment
This weekend, the house was boisterous again. I fetched Teck back after he had spent 17 days at my parents. We are at the tail end of the WP and Dar is on the mend after her haemorrhoid ops. Noise...not something I will relate for contentment, but it is.
For 3 weeks, everything was in a spiral. The family was tested and tested. Honestly the only thing I could do was pray and hope that God gave us strength. He did, and we withstood the test of time. Sure, we had spent quite a sum on hospital bills, we had our misgivings and quarrels, but it was inevitable. But looking on the bright side, my parents would have enjoyed Teck's company, Chloe did speak quite a bit more and my mom-in-law can now proudly say she can control her (with the cane). Claire and Teck both realised how much each meant to the other (though that did not stop their quarrels, once he came home..) My dar..hmm, it was a painful session all the way. I dont know whether she thinks there is a bright side.
But still, this weekend has brought us relief and contentment; that the family is finally back together again.
